Newton Juneteenth Celebration

Bring your kids, friends and parents and join us for a day filled with fun, food, and community spirit ! This free outdoor celebration will feature Reggae Mike's Caribbean food truck, live music from Devlin Scott and others, DJ Firestarta, drumming and dance performances, shopping local Black-owned businesses, and activities for all ages. This event marks Newton's 4th annual celebration to commemorate 160 years of emancipation of enslaved African Americans. Don't miss out on this special day of unity and joy!

Event partners include the Families Organizing for Racial Justice (FORJ), Newton Coalition of Black Residents (NCBR), and FORJ NNHS. The event is made possible through the generous support from FORJ, the Harmony Foundation, Village Bank, and a Linda Plaut Festival of the Arts Grant from Newton Community Pride, in partnership with the City of Newton's Cultural Development department.
